REPC UNIVERSITY

In the first half of the course, we will dive deep into the art of the monologue. Actors will receive personalized guidance in selecting and preparing monologues for auditions, utilizing evidence-based practices to enhance their performance. Through a hybrid format of in-person sessions and asynchronous online work, students will engage in individual plans tailored to their unique strengths and areas for growth. Emphasis will be placed on character analysis, emotional authenticity, and vocal technique, equipping actors with the tools necessary to make a lasting impression.

The second half of the course transitions to an immersive scene work intensive, where students will be assigned selected scenes to work on collaboratively over a six-week period. Participants will engage in a process of exploration, rehearsal, and refinement, guided by instructor feedback and peer collaboration. This intensive culminates in a final showcase, providing students with the opportunity to present their work in front of an audience, demonstrating the skills and insights gained throughout the course.

After you have passed both courses in good-standing, you are eligible to become a REPC company member. You are first to audition and be cast in our yearly mainstage. You and your classmates are also able to help choose what show is produced.
